Wild things Guy inherits cabin in remote place. Arrives and encounters Cat after a few days. She claims territory and starts a fight, ending undecided. Stubborn guy stays, trying to compromise doesn't work and ends up fighting daily. One day she starts the fight but falls down. He sees she's sick and takes her home despite her protests. "Damn!" he thought. "Here she is again." Guy saw her sitting on the rocky ridge, staring at him. He put the basket of fruit he picked before down as she would surely attack him any second now. Indeed she moved, but slower than he expected. She started running towards him, claws out, then almost staggered, picked up her speed again and just as she'd run into him he swayed and deflected her. "Too easy." he thought. "What's going on?" She dropped down on one knee, grumbling softly. He watched her closely, noticing her white fur seemed to be off somehow. Usually it shines but now it was dull. Her breath is too heavy as well, like she's already been fighting. She jumped at him but her hands were caught by his and he held her back while she pushed with all her strenght. She breathed very heavy, then sagged slowly down on the ground, prevented from hitting her head by Guy holding her up by her hands. 'Oy! Cat!' he said as he let her further down carefully, then tapped her cheek. 'Oy! Are you okay?' Her cheek felt hot, as did her forehead and her chest. "Crap." he thought. "She's seriously ill." Looking around thinking what to do he could only come to one conclusion, take her home. 'Shit. Can't leave you here or at wherever your nest is without any help, you're coming with me.' She moaned softly and opened her eyes a little as he picked her up in his arms, then pricked her claws in his chest, scratching a little before her strenght left her arm. 'Cut that out!' he said, clenching his teeth. 'If you do that I'll drop you.' Her eyes fell closed again and he managed to carry her back to his cabin, tucking her into his futon. Checking up on his supplies he found enough to make a healthy soup and poured a bowl when it was ready. He sat it down next to her, tapping her cheek lightly. 'Cat... Cat.. You need to eat something.' She moaned, opened her eyes and looked around slowly, then tried to crawl away to the door. 'Oy! Where'd you think you're going?' She hissed at him weakly. 'You're not chaining me up here... I'm not surrendering to you...' He pulled her back onto the futon, holding her down. 'Shut up! I'm not going to let you go in your state into the forest where who-knows-what might happen to you! You're staying right here until you get better and then you may go wherever you want as fast as you can!' He sat back while she looked shocked at him. 'Geez! Cut that crap about chains and surrender and all that other paranoid stuff!' He pulled her up a bit, stuffed a couple of pillows in her back and picked up the bowl, holding it in front of her muzzle. 'Now drink up this soup, sleep and get well so you can be out of my hair quicker.' She looked reluctantly at the soup, but the great smell and the fact she was feeling hungry was stronger than her pride and she drank it while he held up the bowl for her. The warmth had a soothing effect and soon she fell asleep. Guy sat next to her, shaking his head. "What AM I doing? Nursing that dangerous girl to health so she can try killing me again..? Baka..." 'Sis.' she mumbled in her sleep. 'Sis, dangerous... You'll get hurt...' Guy raised an eyebrow. "Does she have a sister?" he wondered. 'Protect you, sis...' "Could it be she has a little sister that she has to take care of?" he though as he got up, picking up the map of the valley. "She always comes from this side so her nest might be there. And if she really has a little sister there she could be worried and scared alone." He sighed, "Damn you concious!" and set out to the forest after making sure Cat would be safe indoors. It took some time to get there, but he found a low hut at the foot of a tall cliff. To not alarm anybody in there he kept his distance when he shouted. 'Hello! Anybody living here!?' Things stayed silent for a while. 'Is this where Cat lives!?' He thought he saw something stir inside. 'I'm looking for her sister!?' Everything stayed quiet. 'Cat's at my place now! She's very ill and mentioned a sis!' 'What did you do to her!?' the voice holding a crude knife at his throat asked behind him. He held up his hands. 'I haven't done anything to her. She tried to fight me as usual but collapsed. I couldn't leave her like that so I brought her home with me where she sleeps now.' 'How do I know you're telling the truth and not leading me into a trap?' the voice asked, pressing the blade a little harder against his skin. 'You don't unless you see for yourself.' he said, turning slowly towards the voice. 'And if I didn't speak the truth you may cut my throat or anything else you wish to.' The white cat looked into his eyes as he felt a bit surprised to see the spitting image of Cat before him. Only her eyes were a shade of green instead of blue. 'You're twins?' 'Maybe.' she stepped back and waved the knife. 'Now lead the way.' He led her back to his cabin where Cat was still asleep. 'Alright, so you spoke the truth.' she said, stroking Cat's cheek gently. 'You can both stay here until she's well again if you want.' Guy said as he sat down on the porch, getting some fresh early evening air. 'It's getting dark soon and I don't think it's a good idea to take her trough the forest now.' He looked up at the darkening sky. 'If you're hungry or thirsty, help yourself to anything in the kitchen. I'm off for a bit to clean myself up.' She watched him go off, then took a look in the kitchen. "Soup smells good." she thought, then saw a roast chicken. 'Yummy!' But before she cut off a piece she figured she might be rude if she took that, even if he said she could take anything. She went outside and followed his direction, hearing some noise around the corner. 'Is it okay if I take a piece of that...' she started, then halted as she saw his naked body from behind at a water barrel. There were claw marks on his back and arms. 'Ah!' he exclaimed, quickly grabbing his bath kimono and wrapping it around him. She reached out a little. 'Are those..?' He coughed. 'Ah. Yeah.' he said, washing his face. She stepped up to him, examining the wounds. 'She did that, yet you still took care of her. Why?' 'Don't know.' he splashed water in his neck. 'Most likely because I'm a sucker.' She felt very tired and sat down. 'Hey, are you okay?' She nodded. 'I'm not very strong, Cat is. Even if you had lied and this was a trap I couldn't have fought you.' She smiled softly. 'And if it's still a trap, then I'm at your mercy now.' 'What were you saying when you came here?' 'What? Oh! if I could take a piece of that roasted chicken in your kitchen.' He smiled. 'Sure. I want to get a piece myself.' He walked her back inside and they divided the chicken, then he created a place for her to sleep and they fell asleep shortly after checking up on Cat. The next morning Cat sat up slowly to see where she was. She was surprised to see Sis sleeping next to her. Looking to her right she saw Guy lying with his bare back towards her. She remembered him taking her here, but not that Sis was here. There were no signs Sis had been forced here so she must have come on her own. That also means she must've trusted him. "Why did he get her," she wondered, "when he could have gotten rid of us both? Wouldn't he want to hurt us badly?" 'Looks like he's not such a bad guy, eh?' Cat turned to her left, seeing Sis smile and gesture at him with a nod. 'Despite all you've done to him he took care of you when you were vulnerable.' Cat looked back at Guy, stroking his back gently, a little afraid to touch him. Sis checked Cat's temperature. 'You're still hot so get back under here.' As she tucked her in Guy woke up, rubbing his eyes. '..morning...' He sat up watching the twins. 'How's it this morning?' Sis smiled softly as Cat peeked from under the futon. 'Still a fever, but I think she'll get well soon enough.' 'Good.' he said and stood up, stretching himself. 'I'm going to get us more supplies. Feel free to treat this as home while I'm gone.' he grabbed his clothes and walked out the door. 'I'll probably be back around sunset.' 'Wait!' Sis said and bowed. 'Arigato.' 'Meh.' he said and walked off. Guy returned a little after dusk, bringing back his basket with fruits and some fishes and birds. He also brought herbs from which he created a hot drink to restore Cat's energy. It tasted bitter but Sis made her drink it all. This time Sis took care of cooking and Guy was pleasantly surprised at her skill. 'It's because Cat can be a picky eater.' she joked. Cat didn't protest but puffed up her cheeks. Guy moved a low table next to the futon so she could eat without having to get out of it and Sis set dinner on it. When all three sat down and Sis and Guy started to fill their plates she looked at Cat sitting there, looking down at her plate. 'What's wrong? Are you not up to eating something?' Guy looked up from his plate at Cat, she looked from her plate to the food spread out on the table, then at Guy. She got out of the futon, kneeled next to him and bowed low to a confused Guy. 'Ehm...' he mumbled after a moment. 'Gomen.' she said softly. 'It's.., okay?' She shook her head. He looked at Sis who bowed her head as well. 'Gomen. If it wasn't for protecting her weak Sis, she wouldn't have hurt you that much.' He put down his chopsticks. 'Listen, it's okay. I've been intruding on a place long abandoned by my father. You did what you thought was right.' Cat shook her head again. 'Gomen.' she said softly again. 'Look, you're making me feel very embarrassed.' She didn't move. 'I'm going to pinch your butt!' She sat up at once, grabbing her behind and looking at Guy with wide open eyes. He grinned briefly, then returned to his plate to eat. Cat looked at Sis who started laughing hard. 'Now please get back under the futon and eat. You can apologize later when you're all better and I can chew you out without worrying about your health.' Cat got back and ate silently, just glancing quickly between Guy and Sis once in a while. Sis cuddled Cat until she was fast asleep, then sat down next to Guy on the porch. 'Arigato.' 'Forget it.' he said. 'No, we can't. When we were little we weren't treated well. We got to the point of hating all people and ran away here to this place when we heard of it. Cat was very serious in her apology because you were the first one to be nice to us, even when she put you through so much pain.' 'Maybe I'm just luring you into a false sense of security, waiting to do something when you least expect it.' 'Why wait? I'm feeling so grateful to you that you may do something to me right now.' Guy almost choked in his tea and blushed, looking at her snickering. 'Baka.' She leaned gently against him. 'Because I've got this weak body Cat has always been the one doing the heavy chores. I'm able to do cooking and some cleaning, but for everything else I really depend on her. That's why I'm really grateful you helped her, I wouldn't have been able to get her home and treat her.' A sigh escaped her. 'If only I wouldn't be such a burden to her.' Guy sipped the last of his tea. 'From how she called for you in her sleep it doesn't sound like she thinks you're a burden. You're important enough for her to protect you no matter what. Heh, even attack me while weakened by illness.' Guy yawned and stretched. 'Morning already.' he mumbled to himself. He saw Cat and Sis waking up as well, stretching themselves, their white fur shining in the early sunshine and thought they're quite the beautiful twins. They both stood up and stretched once more as high up as they could. He looked at them, thinking there was something about them which he couldn't quite make out. Then it occured to him this was the first time he got a good look at their slender bodies. He totally forgot they didn't wear clothing, and now they stood there, right in front of him, their curves smooth from top to bottom with a perfectly fitting chest. He felt the blood pumping into his face and was about to look away when they bent over, reaching for their toes and giving him a view he'd never imagined when their tails went up. 'Uwah.' he managed to utter before he turned away quickly as he was afraid his eyes would pop out of their sockets. 'Oh.' Sis said as she looked between her legs. 'Morning.' 'Yeah, morning.' he replied, grabbing a piece of the futon to stuff into his lap. Cat knelt down before him and bowed. 'Arigato. Thanks to you I'm feeling alright again. If it wasn't for your kindness...' 'Yes yes.' he waved it away, trying not to look at her. 'No problem. I'm glad you're okay so you're free to do what you want to do now.' Cat looked at his face. 'Are you okay? You look very hot. You didn't catch something from me now?' 'Ah, nono. I'm fine.' 'Are you sure?' Sis asked while she sat behind him, leaning against his back, feeling his cheek with her muzzle and his forehead with her hand. "Eep!" he thought as he knew what kind of softness he was feeling pressed against his bare back. Cat leaned close to his face, putting one hand high on his thigh. 'I'm okay! Really!' Cat's hand slipped under the futon and she wondered for a second what she felt. 'Nya!' she exclaimed and sat back. Sis looked down and saw the bulge in his pants. 'Oh my...' Guy buried his face in his hands. 'That's why I didn't want you getting close.' Sis snickered. 'Would it help if we crawled back under the futon?' 'The image I just saw won't ever leave the back of my eyes so it's better if you guys went home so I can drown myself in cold water.' 'Was it such a bad thing to see then?' Sis asked, sniffling softly. 'Ah! no!' he said as he turned towards her. 'I didn't mean it was bad! It was exciting to see. I mean, oh crap...' Sis smiled at him. 'If that's the something you wanted to do, my offer of last evening still stands.' He coughed. 'As nice as that is, it would still be wrong as that was never my intention. I don't want it as some sort of payback.' 'How would you want it then?' Cat whispered in his ear, devilishly enjoying his nervousness. 'I... I... Ayayayay...' Guy sighed and buried his face in his hands again. 'You're so gonna make me pay for this, aren't you?' 'Yes.' Sis said while she wrapped her arms around his chest, pulling him back against her. 'You'll have to pay for your kindness.' 'You just had to be the first ever nice guy to come across our path.' Cat said, resting her hand against his chest. 'We'll teach you to care for a creature that's only ever hurt you.' Guy saw a tear well up in her eye. 'To save me who wouldn't have done the same for you.' She kissed him so suddenly it overwhelmed him. Cat buried her muzzle under his chin and he stroke softly through her hair. 'Well, I guess I can live with this punishment. But now you're stuck with a guy who's trying desperately to stay nice and not turn into a horny wolf who wants to snuggle up constantly with you.' Sis reached down between his legs and stroked him softly. 'Nobody said you had to.' When he woke up it was already getting dark again. Cat and Sis were tightly snuggled up to him, sleeping peacefully with their heads on his chest. He stroked his fingers gently through the fur on their hips, wondering what the future would bring next. |
